Green

It is amazing what a little rain will do to green things up. We were experiencing the longest period of time without rain (about 10 weeks) and the fields went from dry to brown to dirt. We were getting very concerned. But then it rained almost 5 inches in one day. Then a few days later another 2 inches. The fields went from dead to alive within a few days.

My brother is out there mowing the dead grass for our party a few weeks ago.

Here is the contrast between the grass and the trees.

Dead grass.

A few mornings after the rain everything was green.

Even some tall grass sprang up.

We prefer the green look.
