Lost Horse

We had a horse in our front yard the other morning. It trotted right down our road and up our driveway to the house. It lingered for a few minutes until Dog chased it back down the driveway. Bad Dog.

It grazed for several hours on our lush grass around the front gate. Our minds began to wander about what we might do with it if it were ours. Daughter who is a ceramics teacher was especially excited because a horse was on the top of her wish list when she moved to Texas. (A pottery studio was also on her list, but she got that - right?) It was the exact kind she wanted, too.

Our excitement was short lived when the owners came in a truck a few hours later and lead her back home.
