Bread

We had a bag of wheat berries in the pantry, so I decided to get out our Nutrimill wheat grinder to make some flour.

We bought the grinder, second-hand, several years ago when we lived in Florida. I’ve only used it a few times because it is quite an ordeal. I’m not sure about all grinders like this, but ours makes a bit of a dusty mess whenever I use it. So this time I set it up outside the back door.  The grinder is also quite noisy, so another reason to set it outside.

After grinding several cups of berries, I sifted it to separate some of the bran. Then, I made rolls and a loaf of bread. The fresh flour gave it a nice nutty taste.
