Song

It's been fairly quiet this week with not much to report and frustratingly slow internet. We've been unpacking more boxes, finding new places for things, shifting some things to the workshop, applying for jobs, etc. We bought a much needed new fridge today and started putting together our hydroponic growing system (more on that later).

So I thought I'd remind you of a great Texas song. As it turns out, my family hadn't heard it before so we got the words and plan to learn it. The melody is simple, with a few claps in between each phrase. It's a bit corny, but we like it. So far the lyrics are very true. I even tried to download a music video but with our slow internet, it was impossible. Maybe I'll try later if we switch internet providers. I'll add a random photo just for fun.

Deep in the Heart of Texas
The stars at night are big and bright
Deep in the heart of Texas.
The prairie sky is wide and high
Deep in the heart of Texas.
The sage in bloom is like perfume
Deep in the heart of Texas.
Reminds me of the one I love
Deep in the heart of Texas.
The coyotes wail along the trail
Deep in the heart of Texas.
The rabbits rush around the brush
Deep in the heart of Texas.
The cowboys cry, "Ki-yip-pee-yi"
Deep in the heart of Texas.
The doggies bawl and bawl and bawl
Deep in the heart of Texas
