Green

It's amazing what a little rain, sunshine, and warm weather will do. Within just a couple of weeks everything has turned green. What a wonderful change to the dull winter.

  1. I am so happy to have found your blog. I am from Lufkin and am currently living in southwest Virginia. I love to read about the happenings in east Texas and to see your photos...it keeps me from being too homesick for my beloved Texas!

    1. I'm glad you found it, too! I'll remember you when I'm posting things that I might think are a bit boring. We're just on the border of the piney rolling hills so our place won't look like Lufkin.

    2. Yes, I think I know about where you are. Nothing you have written is the least bit boring to me...it is quiet and pretty and real. I love the rolling hills there and if and when we move back to Texas (we've been gone 9 years) we will not return to Lufkin but rather would like to be closer to the hill country, west Texas (where I was born in Midland) or the northern portion of the state. Thank you for your response to me!

    3. That's funny you'd want to return to west Texas. I spent my early years there and knew I didn't want to move there. The hill country would be nice, except possibly not as garden friendly.
