Chicken Compost

We needed more material for one of the raised beds, so we used some of the chicken litter. After a few months, the chicken manure and the wood chips decompose into a nice compost mixture. It has a surprisingly pleasant earthy smell, not what you might expect from a chicken coop.

After moving about 20 buckets full to the garden, I added more wood chips to the coop to start the process again.
