I especially appreciate all the hard work that has gone into making them. One tiny sprig or leaf at a time. Such diligence.
It also reminded me of these verses:

In the chicken coop on a ledge (no eggs that I ever saw)
Fell off the gutter down pipe (no eggs)
Inside the gate fence post (5 eggs originally)
I just found one today where I didn't expect. I was pulling weeds in my front flower bed when, all of a sudden, a bird fluttered right past my ear. I figured there must be a nest close by so started looking around where I thought she came from and, sure enough, she had a nest in a potted plant. It was so well hidden that I would have never known it was there if she had just stayed put a few minutes longer. It was sort of buried in the pot, but I could look down into the tiny opening and see some little eggs in there.
ReplyDeleteGlad you found it. They are clever at finding hiding spots. There's an old nest by our back door that usually gets used each year. I know it's there but it startles me every time I go outside and a bird flies out from the bush.
