Recently we noticed a funny looking section on our roof. So the brothers (who did the cross fencing earlier in the year) came out one day and were able to fix it easily. They replaced the boards and roof tiles.
Well, a larger animal may have created the hole, maybe a squirrel, or possibly the wind or poor original construction. But once the hole was there, the mice had an open door.
From what little I know about mice they don’t need an open door to get in. Just a teeny hole in the base boards is all the invite they need. But I can see where they might like a big hole too.
Are you sure that is mice? Hole looks big enough for a raccoon or something bigger like that.
